Privacy & Data Protection Policy for Refractory Buyers
firebrickssource.com, operated by Agochar Tech LLP, collects only the data needed to respond to refractory enquiries — name, company, contact details and the technical context of your project. This page explains plainly what we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it.
This policy is written in plain English so that any visitor — whether a procurement manager evaluating refractory suppliers or a casual reader of the site — can understand exactly how their data is handled by firebrickssource.com (the operating brand of Agochar Tech LLP, Rajkot, Gujarat, India). It is aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act framework and with the EU GDPR for visitors based in the European Union or the United Kingdom. If you have ever submitted a quote request, used our contact form, or messaged us on WhatsApp, this policy applies to the data you shared.
1. What we collect
We collect two categories of data — information you give us voluntarily, and basic technical information your browser sends automatically.
Information you provide. When you complete the quote form, contact form or send us a direct email, you typically share: your name, your company name, an email address, a phone number, the country and city you are located in, and the technical content of your enquiry (the refractory grade, quantity, application, destination port, etc.).
Technical information collected automatically. Like every website, our hosting server logs the IP address you visited from, the browser and operating system you used, the page you came from (HTTP referrer) and the pages you viewed. This information is logged for security and basic analytics purposes; it is not combined with your form submissions to build a personal profile.
2. How we use it
Your data is used for exactly three purposes — and only those three:
To respond to your enquiry. Your contact details and the technical content of your message are forwarded to our sales and technical team in Rajkot so they can prepare a quote, datasheet or technical response. This is the primary use.
To maintain internal sales records. Quote requests, enquiries and customer correspondence are stored in our internal CRM (and, for confirmed customers, in our export documentation system) for audit, customer-service and tax-compliance purposes.
To improve our service. Aggregated, non-identifying information about which pages buyers visit and which products attract the most enquiries helps us improve the site. This use does not involve sharing your personal data with anyone.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with marketing companies, list brokers or third parties for advertising. Period.
3. Cookies
firebrickssource.com uses only essential cookies. These are small text files placed on your browser to support specific site functions — currently the only functional cookies on the site are those required for form anti-spam protection (e.g. preventing automated submission of the quote form). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. If we ever add analytics (such as Google Analytics or a privacy-preserving alternative) to measure aggregate visitor numbers, this policy will be updated to disclose that, and the relevant cookie banner will appear on the site.
4. Data retention
Quote leads and contact-form enquiries are retained for 24 months from the date of submission, after which they are archived or deleted. This retention period balances our need to respond to follow-up enquiries from the same buyer against the principle of not holding data longer than necessary.
Customer records — that is, records of buyers who have placed at least one confirmed export order with us — are retained for longer in line with Indian export-compliance, FIEO and tax-audit requirements. Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and bills of lading are kept for the statutory minimum period applicable to export documentation under Indian law.
Server logs are rotated and overwritten on the hosting server in line with standard practice — typically within 90 days.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you. Email us and we will provide a copy.
Correct any data that is inaccurate or out of date. Reply to any of our emails with the correction and we will update the record.
Delete your data. If you would like us to remove your details from our system — for example because you are no longer involved in the project or no longer wish to be contacted — email us and we will action the deletion within 30 days, subject to any statutory retention obligations.
Object to certain processing, including any direct communication you find unwelcome.

6. Third-party services
A small number of third-party services support the operation of the site. Where your data passes through them, this is what happens:
Formspree (or equivalent form-relay service). Our website forms are routed through a form-handling service which receives your submission and forwards it to our sales inbox. The provider stores form data temporarily for delivery and reliability purposes.
WhatsApp. When you click any WhatsApp link or button on the site you leave firebrickssource.com and enter the WhatsApp application, which is operated by Meta Platforms Inc. and governed by Meta's own privacy terms. We see only the conversation you initiate with us.
Google Analytics (if installed). If we add Google Analytics — to be confirmed — it will collect aggregate, non-identifying information about visitor numbers and page popularity. Disclosure and cookie notice will be added at the time of installation.
Hosting and email providers. The site is served from a commercial web-hosting provider, and email reaches us through our company email provider. Both are bound by their own data-protection terms.
